"I don’t just like footy, I love footy," said G Flip. "This will be one of the highlights of my life, I’m very excited."
"'Queen' was written about the strong women around me, the queens that raised me and the queens I’ve met through my years," explains G Flip.
Australia's own G Flip has collaborated with Californian artist mxmtoon on the forthcoming "Queen", which arrives this week.
Described as her mum's favourite song, "You & I" sees G Flip delivering a LGBTQIA+ love anthem as her latest single of 2020.
"2020 is nuts and it’s going to be harder to be out in our purple this Friday, but it’s more important than ever to show young LGBTQI+ Aussies that they are seen and heard and important!"
This weekend's episode of The Sound will also showcase sets from Illy, Washington, Kian, D'arcy Spiller, and much more.
"I’m a huge fan of G Flip, and her vocals gave the track extra feeling," Illy said of the new collaboration. "Now I can't imagine it without her."
G Flip released the original version of her single back in May, following months of teasing the track during live performances.
"I thought it would be a good chance to drop a bit of a bop to sing along to and feel alive again in this time," G Flip says of the new track.
