It appears as though this week may bring with it new music from both Gordi and Alex Lahey, with the pair ostensibly set to unleash a new collaborative track this Friday.
News of the upcoming release was first teased by the pair on their respective Instagram accounts over the weekend, with both Lahey and Gordi sharing images of themselves recording while a cutout of Dolly Parton appeared in the picture. Both posts were also captioned with the phrase “collab coming soon”.
Later, an image appeared on both artist’s pages which featured an image of them both (with the Parton cutout behind them), while a diagram of a heart was taped over their heads. Lahey’s post was captioned with the phrase “Where’s Dolly? > Where’s Wally?”, while both posts listed a release date of February 12th.
Meanwhile, all of the posts were geotagged as being at “Dino’s” in Nashville, a restaurant which made headlines in 2019 for releasing the Dolly Burger, in honour of Parton’s influence and success.

Though no official word has been released as to what will be arriving on Friday, February 12th, it will mark the first release of original material from both artists this year.
Alex Lahey last released new music by way of her festive cover of the Ramones’ “Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight)”, while Gordi released her second album, Our Two Skins, back in June. Since the release of the record, she has also shared a handful of new releases, including the Extraordinary Life EP, and the Our Two Skins (Remixed) EP, which appeared in late January.
