Inside the launch party of Sydney’s Best Source of Fast and Fun Entertainment: Hyper Karting

On a Thursday evening in April, the Moore Park Entertainment Quarter was transformed into an electrifying scene of go-karting meets dance club with a live DJ, drinks, and mouth-watering food to refuel on after taking a few laps around the track. The party atmosphere transcended guests’ traditional expectations of a karting venue and attracted some of Sydney’s top-tier celebrities and influencers who were among the first to try Hyper Karting’s brand new Free Roam VR experience, Hyper Reality.

Situated on the fifth floor of an inconspicuous car park at the EQ, Hyper Karting became an entertainment mecca for the event’s VIP guests. The moment you exited the lifts, you were greeted by DJ 15 grams’ high-energy music that set the tone for the evening.

Guests who were keen to test out their driving skills were put to the test in Hyper Karting’s 100% electric karts on Australia’s longest indoor go-karting track.

It’s all about the little details here, including a victory podium to pose on, race times available straight after your race and of course bragging rights if you take out the win. Guests certainly let their competitive sides out with races continuing late into the night.

Off the track, Hyper Reality was a hit, with the screams of groups echoing over the music as they took on Zombies, mortal kombat style. The immersive experience had guests experiencing quite the workout, due to the first-of-its-kind arena setup. If Zombie’s aren’t your thing, they also have Kitchen Panic; where teams must try to keep up with the high demand of a Parisian restaurant before customers run out of patience, and Cyber Clash; where you can choose your own adventure in player vs. player games such as, archery, king of the hill or battle royale. Unlimited arcade games were also not to be missed!

Hyper Karting’s membership program, for whom prizes were drawn on the night, was certainly nothing to sneeze at. First prize being a brand new MG3 car! Other VIP guests were also in competition for EQ vouchers and experiences which had everyone crossing their fingers for a win.

Hyper Karting has truly done everything in their power to facilitate the best racing venue possible and they hit that mark. Add in Hyper Reality, the arcade and a Rolling Stone curated playlist keeping the vibes high during the week, Hyper Karting is truly in a class of its own. It’s just as easy to see this as a date location as it as a place for revheads to let off some steam.

Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, a gamer, or a music lover, this place seriously caters to all.
