Coopers Live, Loud & Local is back for one final run, with Sydney’s Ocean Alley set to headline the last of its month-long set of livestreams.

Kicking off back in April, the Coopers Live, Loud & Local series has provided music fans to catch some of their favourite artists from the comfort of their own homes, with pubs around the country partnering to present these live sets.

While Illy, James Reyne, and The Living End performed at the first three events, last week saw Noiseworks’ Jon Stevens performing a set full of his classic cuts. Now, as we head towards the final weekend of the series, Ocean Alley have been named as the headlining act to wrap up these acclaimed livestreams.

Kicking off on Friday, May 22nd, the festivities will take place at the Story Bridge Hotel in Brisbane, hosted by Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst, and broadcast live via Coopers’ and the Story Bridge Hotel’s Facebook Pages.

Friday evening will see a cooking demonstration from Jimi from Quiz Meisters hosting a Brisbane-focused trivia, while Creasey will be revisiting his “Love Letters from ISO” segment.

The following night will see The Bandroom in full effect, with a local support act warming fans up before the Ocean Alley take to the stage with a set full of fan-favourites, and potentially a cut or two from their upcoming album.

Speaking ahead of their performance in The Bandroom recently, The Living End bassist Scott Owen explained that these live sets in the time of isolation have “a different energy” to a traditional show.

“Being onstage with an audience, you kind of really feed into the energy of having that many people, and that kind of collective energy in the room,” explained Owen.

“So it’s a different energy going into the room, which is just the three of us trying to nail down the songs as best as we can, without the added energy of the performance, like the visual performance.”

Meanwhile, product and merchandise giveaways are also on the cards, so for more information, be sure to head along to the Coopers Local website, and visit either Coopers’ or the Story Bridge Hotel’s Facebook pages on Friday and Saturday evening to take part in the festivities.
