Set to arrive on Wednesday morning, “Queen” will serve as G Flip’s first new single since the release of “I’D RATHER GO TO BED” in November, which in turn followed on from the likes of “You & I”, “Hyperfine”, and “Loose Ends”, which saw the acclaimed musician team up with Illy.
Meanwhile, mxmtoon had a rather prolific year as well, with her last release arriving by way of October’s Dusk EP, which served as the companion to April’s Dawn EP.
Of course, news of a collaboration was first hinted to back in November, when G Flip and mxmtoon spoke as part of a joint interview. The half-hour chat featured the two artists speaking at length about a number of topics, including that of lockdown, tattoos, concert riders, and more serious discussions on topics such America’s divisive political climate.
However, no mention was made of the forthcoming “Queen”, so it remains to be seen just what the collaborative single is set to sound like.
G Flip and mxmtoon will release “Queen” at 9am AEDT on Wednesday, January 13th, with pre-saves available now.
