As the year comes to a close, and gigs slowly start to make a return following a difficult year, Faith No More have revealed that Aussie fans will have to wait a while before they get to witness the band on stage, with their local tour now rescheduled to 2022.
Originally scheduled to take place in May of 2020, Faith No More only announced their Australian visit back in February, having awoken from a temporary slumber the previous November. Unfortunately, news of their first local trek since 2015 was soon accompanied by the rise of a global pandemic, causing the group to postpone their tour dates to February and March of 2021.
Unfortunately, the continuing state of uncertainty when it comes to international travel has resulted in the band once again pushing their tour dates back, revealing that their Australian visit is now pencilled in for February of 2022.
“Once again in this world of things being temporarily out of our control, we are having to postpone our AU/NZ dates,” the group explained in a statement. “Postponed and not cancelled being the silver lining here and we’re grateful for that.
“We intend on making it up to you only at a time when things are safe for ALL of us. Until then, thanks for sticking this out with us and take care. We’re all in this together and when it happens we promise to make it special.”
Supported by Melbourne’s RVG, all previously-purchased tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates, with ticketing agencies set to contact ticketholders directly should the new dates not suit.
