After incredible demand from fans in the country, Carly Rae Jepsen has added a second and final Melbourne show to her forthcoming Australian tour.
The acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter announced last week that she was returning to Australia for the first time since 2019 next year.
The Polaris Prize-nominated star’s first Melbourne show quickly sold out, and now she’ll perform at The Forum in the city again on Tuesday, March 14th. You can see her full Australian tour dates below.
Tickets for the new Melbourne show are on sale to the general public now, while tickets to all previously announced shows remain on sale.
The tour is in support of Jepsen’s latest album, The Loneliest Time, which she released earlier this month. It’s already received widely positive reviews, with Rolling Stone saying, “The Loneliest Time is her most emotionally adventurous music yet—high-gloss post-bubblegum synth-pop that packs a serious punch even at its fizziest.”
The album contains singles like “Talking to Yourself”, which Rolling Stone called an “upbeat, ’80s-tinged dance-pop anthem,” and the disco-inspired title track, which featured iconic singer-songwriter Rugus Wainwright.
The Loneliest Time is Jepsen’s first studio album since 2020’s Dedicated Side B, which in itself was a companion piece to Dedicated, which reached the top 40 of the ARIA Albums Chart and US Billboard 200, and was hailed as one of 2019’s best albums.
Prior to the release of her new album, Jepsen started The So Nice Tour in September. After completing the North American, UK and European legs over the coming months, anticipation should be high by the time she reaches Australia in March. And with her last shows in the country selling out in 2019, tickets are expected to sell quickly again.
