Acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen is returning to Australia for the first time since 2019.
Jepsen will head Down Under in March 2023 to play three headline East Coast shows (see full dates below). Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 31st at 11am local time. The Frontier Members pre-sale begins this Thursday, October 27th at 11am local time.
The tour is in support of Jepsen’s latest album, The Loneliest Time, which she just released last week. It’s already received widely positive reviews, with Rolling Stone saying, “The Loneliest Time is her most emotionally adventurous music yet—high-gloss post-bubblegum synth-pop that packs a serious punch even at its fizziest.”
The album contains singles like “Talking to Yourself”, which Rolling Stone called an “upbeat, ’80s-tinged dance-pop anthem,” and the disco-inspired title track, which featured iconic singer-songwriter Rugus Wainwright.
The Loneliest Time is Jepsen’s first studio album since 2020’s Dedicated Side B, which in itself was a companion piece to Dedicated, which reached the top 40 of the ARIA Albums Chart and US Billboard 200, and was hailed as one of 2019’s best albums.
Prior to the release of her new album, Jepsen started The So Nice Tour in September. After completing the North American, UK and European legs over the coming months, anticipation should be high by the time she reaches Australia in March. And with her last shows in the country selling out in 2019, tickets are expected to sell quickly again.
