Bluesfest have continued their series of tour announcements for acts on the 2020 festival lineup, revealing a pair of headline dates for Morcheeba next year.
Originally, the Australian tour from Morcheeba was set to take part in the 2020 edition of Bluesfest, which was unfortunately cancelled just weeks out from kick-off due to COVID-related restrictions placed upon mass gatherings. Only weeks after the festival would’ve taken place, rescheduled 2021 dates for these artists were announced, with the 2021 lineup following just a couple of months later.
Just last month, a raft of Australian tours from these artists were unveiled, including shows from the likes of Patti Smith, George Benson, Larkin Poe, and The Wailers, while dates from the Marcus King Band were unveiled just last week.
Now, following news that LP’s tour was unfortunately cancelled “due to the ongoing COVID challenges for touring”, Morcheeba have rounded out Bluesfest’s list of headline dates, with the UK outfit set to perform a pair of shows in Melbourne and Sydney in April of next year. Their first Aussie shows since touring for Bluesfest in 2018, these dates will undoubtedly feature a raft of new material, with the group set to release their tenth album, Blackest Blue, in May.
Tickets to Morcheeba’s headline shows are on sale now through Bluesfest, while the 2021 edition of Bluesfest will itself take place in a matter of weeks.
