Bic Runga is touring around England this month, but fear not if you can’t make it: one of the shows can be watched from anywhere in the world.
The iconic Aotearoa artist revealed on social media that her London show, which takes place at The Garage in the English capital on Thursday (June 11th), will be live-streamed exclusively on Lounges.tv.
“I’m so excited to share that we will be live streaming the entire London show this Thursday exclusively on @lounges.tv,” Runga wrote in an Instagram announcement post.
“No matter where you are, you can join us in real-time this Thursday night! See you on the road (and on screen) very soon! x”

Runga’s London show begins at 8pm BST when support act Silicon, aka Runga’s life and creative partner Kody Nielson, plays.
Nielson will act as support at Runga’s other English tour dates: The Louisiana in Bristol today (June 9th), Brighton’s Green Door Store tomorrow (June 10th), and The Lodge in Manchester on Saturday (June 13th). The Bristol, London, and Manchester dates are sold out, with limited tickets remaining for Brighton.
“The wait is officially over! The UK tour kicks off tomorrow night, and I am blown away by the response. I’m so excited to get back out on the road and see you all,” Runga wrote in an email to fans, seen by Rolling Stone AU/NZ.
Runga is touring in support of her latest album Red Sunset, her first collection of all-new material in 15 years, which she celebrated on an ANZ tour earlier this year.
“After such a long time between albums, I didn’t want to rush this one,” she previously shared. “These songs came together slowly, in a very particular place and time, and that space really shaped how the record sounds and feels.”

At the 2023 Rolling Stone Aotearoa Awards, Runga was presented with the prestigious Rolling Stone Icon Award. The Icon Award recognises an artist for achievements over the course of their career, and 2023 was the first time it was awarded at the Rolling Stone Aotearoa Awards. She also stole the show on the night with an incredible live performance.
The following year, Runga was part of a dreamy Kiwi pairing in our Musicians on Musicians series, sitting down with pop star BENEE for a touching conversation about music and life. Read their full Musicians on Musicians conversation here.
