Inspired by Levi’s range of winter warmers, perfect for keeping you stylish while staying warm, we’ve pulled together your dream cold weather soundtrack

The leaves are turning and there’s a chill in the air, so it’s time to snuggle down and prepare for winter. As the temperatures drop and you get the blankets out of storage, there’s a particular vibe you’re hunting for so you can curl up on the couch and get cosy.

Inspired by Levi’s range of winter warmers, perfect for keeping you stylish while staying warm, we’ve pulled together your dream cold weather soundtrack.

Levi's

Taylor Swift – Evermore

There’s something about Taylor’s music that inherently ties to vibes. Fearless and Lover are the heat of summer, but for the colder months you’ll want to dive into Evermore. A surprise release in 2020, hot on the heels of Folklore which is also a great autumn vibe, Evermore is ‘cottagecore’, it’s acoustic, it pairs perfectly with a hot chocolate or a mulled beverage.

For people who start to get the blues as soon as the weather turns, Evermore is the perfect melancholy partner that will make you feel safe and warm. Pair it with a snuggly cardigan and a beanie for the full cosy Swiftie experience.

Bon Iver – For Emma, Forever Ago

To start, Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon wrote this record while he lived alone in a cabin. If that doesn’t say ‘hibernation’, nothing will.

The soft vocals and acoustic instruments make this the perfect album to have playing softly in the background as you sit at the window and watch the leaves fall, or curl up in front of a crackling fire. Or, if you don’t have the time to hide out in a cabin like Vernon, you can just pretend you’re doing those things while listening to it which is almost as good, much cheaper, and means you don’t need to lose an entire season to vibes.

Phoebe Bridgers – Punisher

Phoebe Bridgers is another good, failproof, cold weather accompaniment. None of her music suits the vibe more than Punisher, her second album, which she released after the success of Stranger in the Alps and following the launch of boygenius and collaborations with a range of other artists.

Bridgers’ lyrics are heartfelt and relatable, perfectly for combating seasonal affective disorder, while the drama of guitar and string arrangements are the perfect thing to surround you while you’re snuggled down in your favourite Levi’s sweater

Adele – 25

Adele has described 25 as an album about “yearning, nostalgia and melancholia,” which makes it the perfect companion for the changing of the seasons. Recorded after a hiatus following 21 and the birth of her son, 25 is a no skip record with Adele’s greatness in every single track.

If you need any more proof that 25 is the best winter album of all time, it opens with “Hello” – tell us any other song that perfectly captures the gentle melancholy of the changing seasons. There isn’t one, it’s only “Hello”.

Fleet Foxes – Fleet Foxes

There is a lot of debate between Fleet Foxes fans as to what the most wintery album is, but their self-titled debut from 2008 is our personal pick. This is another album from this list that was written in a log cabin – coincidence? We think not!

Blending folk, gospel, and psychedelic pop, Fleet Foxes’ debut is harmonious and moody. As the days get shorter and it gets harder to pry yourself out of bed each morning, this is the sort of music that will perfectly soundtrack your weekends and evenings.

If you want to really capture that Fleet Foxes cabin/woods moment, pair it with beautiful, soft, Levi’s chambray and a warm sweater. Can you smell the pine?

Florence and the Machine – Ceremonials

On this list we’ve covered the moody, the soft, and the acoustic, but there’s another energy you can bring to winter. If the cooler weather makes you want to pop on your best flowy fabrics and embrace your most dramatic self, then Ceremonials is the album you want.

Florence and the Machine’s second studio album is a soaring, dark and moody record with hints of Kate Bush, touches of gospel, and perfectly matched with long, dark evenings. Levi’s 70s inspired denim and shackets are the essential Ceremonials ensemble, paired with black eyeliner and a big pair of stompy boots. Bliss.

No matter whether your winter vibe is more Ceremonials drama or Punisher acoustics, Levi’s has the Autumn/Winter fit to match every wardrobe. Epitomising classic American style and effortless cool, Levi’s continues to evolve, offering fresh fundamentals for every season.
