Summer Thieves Sound Festival-Ready on the Groovy ‘Cigarettes in Space’

Festival crowds will be swaying to songs like ‘Bali Nights’ and ‘Sunshine’ in no time

Summer Thieves

Summer Thieves’ new album, Cigarettes in Space, is steeped in the reggae/pop-rock tradition of fellow successful Kiwi bands like Six60, Coterie, and L.A.B, but it isn’t necessarily a bad formula to follow.

Songs have encapsulating titles like “Sunshine” and “Bali Nights”, and the Dunedin band’s sound is ready-made for the summer festival circuit. Languorous and relaxed, Summer Thieves will undoubtedly have crowds swaying to their songs in no time.
