Walker announced on social media that he’s bringing his ‘Symphonic Experience’ show to the city on Saturday, November 7th, after the initial Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland date sold out in quick fashion.
“Auckland sold out in less than 10 days, so if you missed out, this is your chance to experience this incredible show live,” he wrote in his social media post.
“This is 17 years in the making. My full live band. A powerful orchestra. Every song completely reimagined for one unforgettable night.”
Tickets to the Christchurch concert go on sale to the general public on Thursday, August 20th at 7pm local time. The pre-sale begins on Wednesday, August 19th at 7pm local time (sign up here).

Auckland will be Walker’s first headline show in his home country in six years.
According to a press release, the special show “pairs Walker’s storytelling prowess and his full live band with a 30+ piece orchestra. Every song will be reimagined, rearranged, and performed live in a way audiences have never experienced before.”
Walker can’t wait to reunite with his fans in a live setting.
“Creatively, this is the best I’ve ever been,” he said. “I have mana motuhake — complete indepndence and autonomy — and that has allowed my creativity to flow like never before.”
“I want to give my fans an experience unlike any they’ve ever had, and for them to leave forever changed. It’s going to be an epic musical, cinematic, emotional, spiritual, and cultural journey.”
‘Stan Walker — A Symphonic Experience’ has been years in the making, according to the titular singer. Walker spent the past six years performing as both a featured artists and headline guest, all the while knowing that when it came time to do his own show, he wanted it to be unique.
“This show is for everyone. For the fans who’ve been there from the beginning, and for those who have joined at any point along the way,” he added. “It’s a reintroduction to the songs they grew up with, their favourites, alongside my favourites and my new music too.”
