Combining ’90s house with bold Punjabi sampling, ASHWARYA’s new single is a genre-blurring banger that literally says, “Look at me!”

Indian-Australian pop firebrand ASHWARYA is back, and she’s not asking for attention – she’s demanding it.

Her new single “NRG” is an electrified, genre-blurring banger that oozes confidence, combining ’90s house rhythms, vogue-ready beats, and bold Punjabi sampling.

Produced by Full Circle collective’s Sollyy, FRIDAY, and Breakfast Road*, the track is an unapologetic flex of energy, style, and sheer presence.

“’NRG’ is relentless,” ASHWARYA explains. “It’s that perfect mix of intention and spontaneity, and you can feel that throughout the track. The whole idea of backing yourself – ‘Look at me! Look at me! NRG! NRG!’ – is something myself and everyone part of this track live by. You just have to know you’ve got it, no question.”

ASHWARYA doesn’t just have ‘it’ – she owns it. The track channels the fearless sass of Doechii and Doja Cat, wrapped in a kaleidoscope of sonic influences that refuse to stay in one lane.

Sollyy, who helped craft the track, adds, “It was so fun to collaborate on this song with Ash. Having Full Circle in the room helping with creation also makes the song feel so much more like a party – I hope anyone who hears it feels the same as me!”

The accompanying music video is just as dynamic, showcasing ASHWARYA at her most fierce and playful. Directed by longtime collaborator Charles Buxton-Leslie (Ruel, Nick Ward) and Jordan Ruyi Blanch, the video sees her straddle two contrasting personas – one exuding unshakable confidence, the other unpredictable and chaotic – against an ever-shifting backdrop of seasons and surreal environments.

“Working with friends is something I really value in creative collaborations,” Buxton-Leslie shares. “Working with Ashwarya and Jordan was a dream as we could all put our heads together on this one and make something we were really proud of!”

Blanch adds, “There’s an effortless steeze and playfulness in the track that I just adore. It was such a fun challenge collaborating with Charles and Ashwarya to bring that to life visually!”

The release of “NRG” also marks ASHWARYA’s signing to 23 PR & MGMT (Stella Bridie, Shady Nasty) for artist management and Seismic Talent Agency (Alison Wonderland, Young Franco) for ANZ/ASIA bookings – a move that signals a major next step in her trajectory.

Joel Siviour from Seismic Talent is all in: “I’m so thrilled to welcome ASHWARYA to the Seismic Talent roster! I’ve been a massive fan since her first release ‘BIRYANI,’ and I couldn’t be more excited to kick off this next era together alongside the release of the surefire hit that is ‘NRG’. She’s an undeniable performer and a natural onstage, and I can’t wait for the world to see what she’s been building.”

ASHWARYA’s “NRG” is out now.
