The Teskey Brothers have shared a final taste of their upcoming third album, The Winding Way.
Titled “Remember the Time”, the soulful effort reflects on the many shapes and forms love can take. It’s a celebration of how relationships can grow and develop, even during rough times. But as the group also know, we never really stop pining for the ‘good old days’.
“”Remember the Time” is a song of love and relationships as they grow older, as they change and wind their way throughout hard and difficult times,” lead singer Josh Teskey explains. “But the winding way doesn’t always change things for the worst.
“In “Remember the Time”, I’m trying to see the positive in the change, while mourning the old young carefree selves that we used to be. I hope it’s something that a lot of people can relate to.”
The Teskey Brother’s latest track follows previous singles “London Bridge, “Take My Heart”, and “Oceans of Emotions”, with their upcoming album beginning to take shape nicely.
All three music videos for those previous singles formed a tender trilogy that featured real-life people exploring love and relationships.
The Teskey Brothers announced their highly-anticipated new album earlier this year, with The Winding Way set for release in June.
Following the closure of their beloved Half Mile Harvest Studios in Warrandyte, the group headed to Sydney to record with acclaimed producer Eric J Dubowsky (Flume, Chet Faker, Chemical Brothers). The Winding Way follows 2019’s Run Home Slow, which received positive reviews and reached the top 10 in both Australia and the Netherlands.
In other The Teskey Brothers news, the brothers are currently performing to sold-out crowds across the UK and Europe, with a North America tour to follow between August and October.
The Teskey Brothers’ “Remember the Time” is out now. The Winding Way is out Friday, June 16th via Ivy League Records (pre-save/pre-order here).
