Some of Australia’s biggest names have joined the bill for the penultimate episode of the weekly The State of Music livestream.
First announced in early May, The State of Music was created in conjunction with Mushroom Group’s Michael Gudinski and the Victorian Government, and announced as part of the Victoria Together initiative.
Being broadcast each weekend, the six-episode series has so far seen the likes of Birds of Tokyo, G Flip, Paul Kelly, Archie Roach, the Hoodoo Gurus, and so much more taking part in the livestream concert.

Now, as The State of Music heads towards its final episode, it appears as though organisers are saving some of its best lineups for last, with a massive bill being announced for its fifth edition.
Featuring The Rubens in the headline position, viewers will be treated to spots by Leonardo’s Bride vocalist Abby Dobson, Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows with Jade Macrae, Lime Cordiale, Mansionair, Odette, Something for Kate, and much more.
It doesn’t end there though, with Fergus James, Mitch King, and Nic Cester & The Milano Elettrica also joining the eclectic bill.
The event will see Jane Gazzo joined by Tim Blackwell for hosting duties when it all kicks off at 7:30pm AEST on Friday night. Viewers can catch the latest episode of The State of Music this weekend when it’s broadcast on YouTube, Facebook, and the newly-created Victoria Together website.
