The Rubens have announced a massive tour of Australia.
The Rubens will celebrate their forthcoming album, Group Therapy, on the road between October and December, playing shows in Sydney, Adelaide, Castlemaine, Hobart, Fremantle, and many more towns and cities (see full dates below).
The alternative rock band will be supported by Selve at all shows, expect in WA.
Before Group Therapy drops on Friday, October 16th, The Rubens are teasing their new album. Listen to new single “Love Me America” below.
The track was inspired by the band’s earliest experiences in the US, where they were courted by major labels over fancy dinners and sports games.
“We naively ventured to New York to make our first record. It was terrifying, exciting, a blur and our introduction to a country that has fascinated us ever since,” singer Sam Margin explains.
“‘Love Me America’ is a love song to America, but not a simple one. It’s about the scale of its promise, the thrill of chasing something big, and the strange desire to belong somewhere that can still feel just beyond your reach. A love song with all the baggage that comes along with it.”
