With just a couple of days to go until the Melbourne edition of the Summer Sounds Festival kicks off, organisers have announced a slight date change to some shows in the wake of border restrictions.
First announced last month, the run of shows was scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 25th with an evening from Ball Park Music, Thelma Plum, and Alice Ivy, before shows from the likes of Bernard Fanning, Something For Kate, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Spiderbait, and Spacey Jane would take place across the following week.
However, with just days to go, organisers have revealed a handful of date changes in order to “ensure the availability of artists and crew”. The changes effect only a couple of shows, with the Ball Park Music, Thelma Plum, and Alice Ivy show being pushed back to Thursday, March 11th, while the March 3rd and 4th shows with Spacey Jane, Rat!hammock, and Carla Geneve have been postponed until March 23rd and 25th, respectively.
In addition to the date changes, the festival has also announced a handful of four-person lawn decks for the Bernard Fanning, Spiderbait, and Ball Park Music shows, with limited numbers available. Tickets to the remaining shows are on sale now via the Summer Sounds Festival website.
