“WATER.”, the new single from British electronic music duo Snakehips, is made for dark clubs and after hours parties, when revellers are in need of a reviving jolt as their night draws to a close.

The first official release on new electronic dance label Helix Records, the atmospheric house track is endearingly euphoric, the glimmering rhythm gliding over smooth beats. It’s enhanced with the infectious vocals of US rapper and singer Bryce Vine, amplifying the energy of the track.

Vine is the latest in a long line of strong collaborators for Snakehips. Having previously worked with the likes of Anderson .Paak, Zayn, Chance the Rapper, and Tinashe, last year saw the release of singles with Earthgang (“Run It Up” and Armand Van Helden (“Freedom (You Bring Me)”).

“WATER.” is their second release of 2022, following the collaborative single “Tonight” with renowned French producer and DJ Tchami. In the past they’ve also produced positively received remixes for artists including Sam Smith, The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, and Doja Cat.

“WATER.” arrives accompanied by a VHS-inspired music video, a popular video style in the Chillwave era: featuring Vine and the Snakehips pair of Oliver Lee and James Carter relaxing under the sun, the clip invites viewers into their kaleidoscopic beach party.

Snakehips have been in Australia on tour over the past few weeks, with their final show set to take place at Groovin The Moo in Bendigo this weekend on Saturday, April 30th.

“WATER.” is the first single from Snakehip’s forthcoming album, set to also be released on Helix Records. The duo have been busy splitting their time between London and LA in order to finish writing the record. They’ve lined up some excellent guests for it too, including Madeintyo, Duckworth, Joyce Wrice, and many more.

Snakehip’s “WATER.” is out now on all streaming platforms.
