Smirnoff are helping to reinvigorate and support the Aussie music industry in the first few months of the year with a handful of stellar gigs as part of their Smirnoff Origins series

With the summer months already firmly amongst us, and the new year laying ahead of us, weā€™re well into that time of the year where we just want to have a little bit of fun to help lean into our new yearā€™s resolutions and kick off 2023 with a bang. Thankfully, that’s where Smirnoff come into the mix.

We’ve spoken before about Smirnoff’s inextricable link between eclectic flavour combinations and their enduring love and support of music. Now, they’re getting ready to do it all again with the launch of their Smirnoff Origins events.

Taking place across February and March, the Smirnoff Origins series is exactly the sort of music-lover’s dream that has been missing from the local music scene. With iconic Aussie artists dishing out headline sets by returning to some of the country’s most beloved and iconic venues which hosted these very names in their formative years, the high-profile events will also be complemented by beverages from the fine folks at Smirnoff. These gigs will be ones to remember for a long time to come.

Alongside all of that though, they’re upping the ante by welcoming an emerging Aussie artist to each lineup, specially selected by the headlining artist. As part of their appearance on the bill, these emerging artists are supported far beyond the performance slot, with media amplification, editorial features and press opportunities, and a $5k performance fee. Good tunes, good times, and a good chance to say you were there when music-lovers look back on these events years down the line.

The first Smirnoff Origins event will be kicking off on Thursday, February 2nd at Sydney’s iconic Club 77. Famed as being one of New South Wales’ most beloved venues, the concert series will officially launch thanks to an intimate gig from critically-acclaimed electronic favourites The Presets.

Nearing 20 years since they first launched themselves into the local music scene, The Presets have spent close to two decades making a name for themselves as one of the country’s most awarded acts. With four albums to their name and a massive seven ARIA Awards throughout their career, the pair ā€“ comprising

Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes ā€“ are regarded as deadset party-starters and will ensure the first in the Smirnoff Origins series kicks off with a bang.

Alongside the electronic extraordinaires, these events will also feature an emerging artist, highlighting Smirnoff’s dedication to helping support upcoming talent on the local scene.

Following the exceptional lineup, the night will conclude with local DJs, who will kick on until the wee hours of the morning, allowing punters to soak in the fun and unbridled energy on offer from the good folks at Smirnoff.

If there’s one thing that Aussie punters have expressed their love of, it’s good tunes, good times, and good vibes, and with the Smirnoff Origins series coming to town in February and March, local music-lovers are set to have this in spades.

Once again supporting good local music ā€“ be they established acts or emerging artists fresh on the scene ā€“ the Smirnoff Origins events will be dedicated to providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those in attendance. Presenting these acclaimed acts in a manner that is equal parts intimate and personal, yet grand and immersive, these contrasting atmospheres will ensure that everyone has a stellar time, so it goes without saying that these are two events you certainly won’t want to miss out on.

Tickets to the Smirnoff Origins events are on sale now with a second release of tickets coming on January 19th, with punters urged to act quickly so they don’t miss out on these exclusive musical experiences. These Smirnoff Origins events are undoubtedly set to be some of the biggest on the musical calendar.

If youā€™re looking for another great way to ensure youā€™re taking part in what the Aussie summer has to offer, make sure youā€™re also across the new Smirnoff Seltzer Vodka Cocktails. Featuring two new flavours, Spicy Margarita and Watermelon Margarita, theyā€™re a bolder addition to any summer playlist.Ā

While we’re all about having fun, please remember to drink responsibly. Smirnoff knows music, do you know your DrinkIQ?Ā
