New Zealand’s biggest band are finally returning to Melbourne.
Six60 have announced their long-awaited return to Australia’s music capital, where they’ll play an unmissable show at Royal Botanic Gardens as part of the Live at the Gardens series.
Fans can catch Six60 at Live at the Gardens on Friday, November 27th, where they’ll be supported by WA indie rockers South Summit.
Tickets to the show go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, August 12th at 11am local time. The Live at the Gardens and MG Live pre-sales begin on Monday, August 10th at 11am local time.
Six60, who recently headlined the opening night of Christchurch’s new One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha, can’t wait to get back to Melbourne.
“Melbourne is one of the great cities,” they say. “We have played there countless times and Six60 fans always show out in force. I can’t wait to hit the stage in such a cool venue, and celebrate in the way only Six60 fans can.”
Six60’s live shows regularly draw praise from critics and fans alike.

“The atmosphere they create through their live show is so powerful, pure and strong,” wrote Australian publication Bleached.
From their home country, Stuff once praised, “Six60 doing what Six60 does best, bringing people together with songs every New Zealand somehow knows word for word,” while the NZ Herald hailed the band as “maestros of the stadium.”
Launched in 2024, Live at the Gardens has established itself as one of the premier live music events in Melbourne’s cultural calendar.
A collaboration between MG Live and Royal Botanic Gardens, it returns for its fifth season this November and December. Previous seasons have featured standout performers such as Franz Ferdinand, Groove Armada, The Living End, Matt Corby, and Chet Faker.
