SACHI’s first release of the year is finally here.
The LA-based, NZ-born electronic duo have released new single “Waiting All Night”, which captures the thrill of a chaotic night on the town.
“‘Waiting All Night’ is about meeting someone on a night out and feeling a connection – wondering who is going to make the move and where the night will end up,” SACHI explain.
Their new single’s melody and chord progressions were born during a writing trip to Stockholm, Sweden. On Nick Chrisp and Will Thomas’ return to Los Angeles, the song evolved further through collaboration with Ben Hollamby (Pirapus) and JackLaven (33 Below), who both helped refine the production in order to bring the track to its full potential.
“Waiting All Night” follows a prolific year of releases for SACHI in 2025, including their LATASHÁ collaboration “405”.
The duo worked with LATASHÁ after being put in touch with the multi-disciplinary artist through the one and only Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, PNAU).
Following a historic Tomorrowland turn in 2022, which saw them become one of the first Kiwi acts to play the renowned electronic music festival, SACHI returned to Aotearoa last year for Club SACHI, a series of intimate DJ club nights across the country that attracted packed crowds from Auckland to Dunedin.
That was followed by a run of shows over this summer, which included unveiling their new stage show at Rhythm and Vines and Golden Lights.
“In the live environment, there’s this exchange of energy – you can’t have one part of it without the other, you can’t have the performer without the audience,” Chrisp previously told Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “We’ve always been interested in who the community is: who are these people coming to the shows, hanging outside, trying to have a conversation or get a photo? How can we be more tapped in with the audience that has found our music?”
SACHI’s “Waiting All Night” is out now.
