Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have released their new album Endless Rooms, with a tour in support of the record confirmed for October.

The Melbourne indie rockers will begin their tour in Torquay on Thursday, October 13, followed by shows in Fremantle, Margaret River, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney. Support will be provided by two Melbourne locals, jangle pop band Floodlights and singer songwriter Maple Glider (excluding WA).

All existing ticket holders for the Fremantle show, which was originally scheduled for Friday, March 18th 2022, remain valid for the newly announced October date. Presale for Frontier Members begins on Monday, May 9th at 2pm local time, before general sale begins on Wednesday, May 11th at 2pm AEST via frontiertouring.com/rollingblackoutscf.

Endless Rooms is Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever’s third studio album and the first one to be self-produced by the band in partnership with co-producer Matt Duffy. It follows the success of their 2018 debut Hope Downs, which was nominated for the 2018 Australian Music Prize, and 2020’s Sideways to Italy, which garnered nominations for Best Album and Best Band at the 2020 Music Victoria Awards.

“The songs on Endless Rooms are probably our biggest and fullest yet and were made to be played live,” the band’s Tom Russo explains. “We can’t wait to bring the album to life on tour. We are very humbled to be bringing along some of the best acts in the country – Floodlights and Maple Gilder. (We also want to thank our WA friends for being patient with us, we’ve missed you). See you soon!”

After birthing ideas initially during last year’s lockdowns, Endless Rooms came to fruition when the band decamped to a house in the bush a few hours outside of Melbourne on Taungurung and Yorta Yorta country.

This new set of songs marry Australia’s evocative landscapes with the urban romance, passions and politics of its characters. “I feel like it’s our largest album,” Fran Keaney adds. “It’s us stretching out. I think it’s the album we’ve always had in us.”
