Fair warning: Ninajirachi’s first single of 2024 goes hard.

The rising electronic producer has dropped “Ninacamina”, an all in, full throttle collaboration with Los Angeles-based artist Izzy Camina.

Melding nostalgic bloghouse-era electronic flourishes with future-facing club production, “Ninacamina” is achingly cool and experimental. And the musical pairing works very well: Camina’s captivating vocals skate sublimely over Ninajirachi’s razor-sharp beats. (They joined their names together for the track’s title, after all.)

“My collaboration with Izzy started over a year ago as a remix and later evolved into something completely new. I love marrying the icy, textural side of my production with early EDM sounds, the kind of music that made me want to become a producer when I was a child. I only hope I can keep getting better at it,” Ninajirachi says.

“Ninacamina” follows the producer’s well-received 2023 EP, 4×4, a collection of tracks that fondly recalled 200s electro-house and dance-pop.

“I’ve been pulling more inspiration from the dance music that got me into producing as a child,” Ninahirachi – born Nina Wilson – said about her EP. “All of these songs were made in the last few months with my good friends and they were made very quickly, mostly in under a day, they’re not that serious or deep, they felt fulfilling and easy to write and produce.”

4×4 cemented Ninajirachi’s growing reputation in Australia, and she’s now heading overseas to show off her production chops in North America. She’ll celebrate her EP at shows in Brooklyn, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, and many more cities throughout January and February, some in support of ISOxo (Camina will join her for two dates on the tour).

Ninajirachi’s shows shouldn’t be missed: there’s a reason the likes of Mallrat and Charli XCX have asked her to support them, and she’s also impressed in festival slots at Dark Mofo, Spilt Milk, Field Day, and more.

On Twitter this week, the caring and careful environment the producer fosters at her love shows was praised by fans. “It’s my dream for every show to be like this,” Ninajirachi wrote in response to one pleased fan.

Ninajirachi & Izzy Camina’s “Ninacamina” is out now via NLV Records. More information about her North America shows can be found here
