Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have announced a full run of Australian Carnage tour dates for the end of this year.
It comes after the pair’s two special performances at the iconic Hanging Rock in the Macedon Ranges on November 25th and 26th quickly sold out. They’ll now take their tour to 15 stops around the country, beginning in Adelaide on November 22nd and concluding in Sydney on December 17th (see full dates below). Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, July 29th at 10am local time via Nick Cave’s official website.
“I can’t begin to tell you how happy Warren and I are to be finally returning to Australia to perform. The wait has been way too long. See you all soon for the Carnage experience!” Cave said about the upcoming tour.
The Australian Carnage shows are set to be a special occasion for fans. In a positive review of Cave and Ellis’ performance in New York City earlier this year, Rolling Stone wrote, “If this new incarnation of Nick Cave is some kind of faith healer, by the end of the show, his spell worked. It would be hard to walk away from concerts like these and feel the same as when you went in.”
Although Cave and Ellis have been working together for almost three decades now, the pair released Carnage, their first full-length studio album as a duo, last year. Critical reaction was resoundingly positive, with the album reaching number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and earning a nomination for the Australian Music Prize.
