Nas and Wu-Tang Clan are bringing their co-headlining N.Y. State of Mind tour to Australia and New Zealand this year.

The legendary hip hop pair announced new dates worldwide today, beginning in Auckland on May 9th. They’ll then jump over to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, before heading to Europe in June (see full details below).

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, March 6th at 12pm local time. The Live Nation pre-sale begins on Friday, March 3rd at 11am local time.

The 2023 run of the tour comes swiftly after the sold out 2022 run the hit over 25 cities last year. Nas and Wu-Tang’s acclaimed co-headlining tour also earned them a nomination for Pollstar’s 2022 Hip Hop Tour of the Year.

Neither act really needs an introduction. Formed in New York City’s Staten Island in the ’90s, Wu-Tang Clan rose to become one of the most important hip hop groups of their generation. Their nine remaining members, including RZA and Ghostface Killah, all get their chance to shine in the live setting, but Wu-Tang are at their best as a cohesive unit.

Nas, meanwhile, hasn’t stopped releasing acclaimed rap albums for almost 30 years, ever since the release of his seminal debut album, 1994’s Illmatic. Just last year, he shared his 16th studio album, King’s Disease III, which reached the top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

“The fourth album in Nas’ ongoing series of collaborations with producer Hit-Boy locks into a straightforward groove. It’s loose and expert and finally nimble again,” Pitchfork wrote in a positive review.
