He might not be co-hosting the 2022 ARIA Music Awards anymore, but Lewis Capaldi has extended his 2023 Australian tour.

After selling out the Sydney date on next year’s tour, the Scottish singer-songwriter has added a second and final show in the city. He’ll now perform at the Qudos Bank Arena on Friday, July 7th, bringing his total tally of shows in Australia and New Zealand to eight.

Tickets to the new Sydney show go on sale this Friday, November 4th at 9am AEDT. You can see the full list of tour dates below.

The tour will celebrate the artist’s newly announced album Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, which is set for release on Friday, May 19th via EMI Records (pre-order here).

It’s the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to his 2019 debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which reached number seven on the ARIA Albums Chart and was the best-selling album in the UK two years running. That album spawned the massive singles “Someone You Loved” and “Before You Go”, the former of which earned a nomination for Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards.

Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent contains new single “Forget Me”, which became Capaldi’s third number one UK hit.

In less positive Capaldi news, it was today revealed that he’ll no longer be able to co-host the 2022 ARIA Awards alongside Natalie Imbruglia due to a scheduling conflict. The race is now on to find a suitable replacement before the ceremony takes place on November 24th.
