Kylie Minogue has dropped a new single and video for “Lights Camera Action.”
The track, the lead single from Kylie’s forthcoming album, Tension II, “captures the carefree spirit of the nightclub,” continuing with the euphoric style of her previous album, Tension.
“Lights Camera Action” is produced by Lewis Thompson, with Kylie, Thompson, and Ina Wroldsen on writing duties. And if one Kylie single isn’t enough for you, remixed versions of “Lights Camera Action” by Confidence Man, Zach Witness, and JACONDA have also arrived today (listen below).
The accompanying music video, directed by Sophie Muller and shot in Budapest, sees Kylie assuming multiple roles in several iconic guises. The clip premieres on YouTube today at 11pm AEST.
Tension II will feature 13 brand new songs, as well as features from Diplo, Bebe Rexha, and more. “The Tension era has been so special to me … I can’t possibly let it be over just yet! Welcome to Tension II,” Kylie says.
Earlier this week, Kylie announced the addition of several new shows to her forthcoming Australian tour.
The pop icon announced the ‘Tension Tour’ last week. It will be her biggest tour in 13 years. Dates were initially confirmed in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney. And due to overwhelming demand, Kylie has now added another show in the latter three cities (see full dates below). Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, October 2nd.
