KUČKA has shared the final taste of her forthcoming album, Can You Hear Me Dreaming?.
Titled “Heavyweight”, KUČKA’s new single is described as a track that has a “devil-on-your-shoulder quality to it. That cheeky voice telling you you’re the champion (of your own delusions),” and is perhaps the artist’s most grittiest offering to date.
The accompanying music video for “Heavyweight”, directed by Dillon Howl, features KUČKA riding her bicycle around her Los Angeles neighborhood while adorned with the costume wings featured in the album artwork (watch below).
Set for release on Friday, July 12th. Can You Hear Me Dreaming? follows the electronic producer’s positively received debut album Wrestling, which was nominated for Best Independent Dance or Electronic Album at the 2022 AIR Awards.
“Heavyweight” will feature on Can You Hear Me Dreaming? alongside last month’s release “Wasting Time (til the end of the world)” aswell as collaborative tracks with Flume (“One More Night”) and PESH (“Communal Reverie” and “Gross Body”).
Fans can head along to an exclusive global first listen of the album at HER Music Room on Thursday, June 13th in Melbourne. Entry is free and fans will hear the full album played on vinyl and be able to purchase limited edition merch. There will also be DJ sets from KUČKA and friends.
KUČKA has risen quickly to become one of Australia’s most exciting electronic musicians. Now based in Los Angeles, she’s collaborated with SOPHIE, Mount Kimble, A$AP Rocky, and the aforementioned Flume. She joined the latter onstage at Coachella to perform together, and she’s also hosted her own headline shows at the likes of Dark Mofo and VIVID Live at Sydney Opera House.
