Jackson Browne has extended his Australian tour with the addition of his only Queensland show.
The legendary US rocker will perform at A Day on the Green at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton, on Saturday, December 2nd. Browne was already confirmed to play Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena and Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre across November and December (see full dates below).
Tickets to Browne’s A Day on the Green show go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, May 31st at 11am local time. The AAMI customer pre-sale begins on Friday, May 26th at 11am local time , while the pre-sale for A Day on the Green members commences on Friday, May 26th at 11am local time.
Browne will be joined by a trio of acclaimed Australian acts at A Day on the Green.
The Waifs, who marked 30 years since their formation last year, will support the singer-songwriter. Over the last three decades, the WA outfit have won multiple ARIA Awards and scored platinum albums along the way.
The irrepressible Vika & Linda will bring their genre-spanning set – expect rock, country, gospel, R&B, soul and blues – to A Day on the Green. Nominated for six ARIA Awards over their career, the pair were awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for their service to the performing arts in 2022.
Liz Stringer, one of the country’s most revered songwriters, will also support Browne in Queensland. Her sixth studio album, First Time Really Feeling, was one of the finest albums of 2021, earning Stringer an AIR Award for Best Blues and Roots Album. Browne will be just her latest prominent support slot, with Stringer backing uo Midnight Oil across several continents for 18 months.
