‘In My Room’ with Lime Cordiale

Sydney’s Lime Cordiale have served up a pair of acoustic tracks, with Oli and Louis Leimbach sharing an outdoor performance for the latest edition of Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’, a series in which artists perform from home while in quarantine.
Presented by Green Beacon, the fourth episode in this special weekly series sees the group performing two tracks from their forthcoming album 14 Steps to A Better You, including the triple j favourite “Robbery”, and the infectious “On Our Own”.
Proving exactly why they managed to catch the eye of music giants such as Post Malone, Lime Cordiale’s exuberant acoustic renditions of these two tracks strip back the multi-instrumental outer layer and showcase a simple yet effective way of appreciating these gorgeous singles.
Soaked in a grainy VHS-style filter (and admittedly stretching the rules of it being “in” their room”), there’s a level of nostalgia at play in this brief appearance, bolstered by their absolutely mesmerising performance style.
With their record set for release next Friday, things are undoubtedly feeling a bit exciting for the Leimbach brothers, who are set to preview their new album with a series of intimate shows in Sydney next week.

Lime Cordiale are the last of a recent lineup of massive artists which have appeared on Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’ series. With Cub Sport and Bad//Dreems kicking off the series, a special performance from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever took place last week, all thanks to a partnership with Green Beacon.
