Two of Adelaide’s finest artists have teamed up for a new collaborative single, with George Alice serving as a featured name on the new EAST AV3 track, “Do It All Again”.
Officially released today, “Do It All Again” has been teased by the two artists over the last few days, culminating in an official premiere on triple j overnight. Fittingly, both acts had previously been Unearthed by the station, with George Alice serving as the 2019 Unearthed High winner.
Mixed and mastered by Andre Eremin (Tash Sultana, Sampa The Great, Mallrat, Julia Stone, Matt Corby), “Do it All Again” is a slick, bouncy anthem from the two artists, with a catchy hook providing summery vibes and elements of ’90s nostalgia.
“We made the track on one of our Sydney trips during covid and the underlying festival theme came from our withdrawals from the whole live aspect of being an artist,” explained EAST AV3. “Working with Georgia was such a special experience, especially being able to put two Adelaide names together, which seems to be quite a rare thing.”
“I was so stoked when the EAST AV3 boys hit me up to be a part of this track,” echoes George Alice. “I’ve always been such a big fan of their music and what they do. It’s such a fun song and was just a total vibe being in the studio together!
“So many collaborations and sessions can’t happen this way anymore so considering we are all from Adelaide it was meant to be. We love this song and we hope you do too!”
While “Do It All Again” serves as the first new single from George Alice’s “Teenager” (and arrives a week after she celebrated her 18th birthday), it also serves as the first new track from EAST AV3 since last year’s “rosé + sashimi”. The Adelaide outfit are also set to hit the road next month for a single launch, before making their way to Sydney and Wollongong in May for another pair of shows. Check out the full details below.
