South Australia’s George Alice has shared a gorgeous, stripped-back performance for the latest instalment of Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’, a series in which artists perform from home following a year which has seen live shows become a rarity.

It goes without saying that the last few years have been absolutely monumental for George Alice over the last few years. Hailing from Adelaide’s north, the young artist first rose to prominence back in 2019 when she was crowned triple j’s Unearthed High winner thanks to her debut single “Circles”.

Before long, she was on her way to becoming a household name, with countless streams for her wonderful compositions, numerous accolades for her efforts, and even receiving a well-deserved placing in triple j’s Hottest 100 for 2019, beating out the likes of Halsey and Khalid.

Since then, the inimitable George Alice has shared a few more singles, including “Teenager” from last November, and June’s “Stuck in A Bubble” which is currently closing in on four million streams.

With constant acclaim at every turn, and numerous live shows proving her worth as one of the country’s fastest-rising stars, George Alice’s next big milestone is her 18th birthday, which takes place today. To celebrate, she’s offered up a stunning performance of her two most recent singles, inviting us into her home to strip back “Teenager” and “Stuck in A Bubble” and showcase her exceptional skills as a songwriter and performer.
