DMA’S are celebrating the release of their new album in the best way possible, announcing an additional six shows to their already-expanded upcoming performance series.
First announced earlier this week, DMA’S revealed that they would be performing a series of six “Unplugged & Intimate” shows at Sydney’s Factory Theatre starting in late July.
Serving as a way for DMA’S to not only return to the live stage, but also support a venue they grew up close to, these shows will feature a limited audience, will closely adhere to current social distancing regulations, and will feature a changeover period between each set during which time the venue will be cleaned.
However, after revealing their initial six shows, demand from pre-sale tickets was so great that the group were forced to add another six shows on Wednesday. Now, with tickets officially on sale as of noon today, DMA’S have announced a final six extra shows to their upcoming residency.
Presented by Frontier Touring, I OH YOU, and Secret Sounds, the group will perform two stripped-back shows per night (at 6:30pm and 9pm) from Thursday, July 30th until Saturday, August 1st, from Thursday, August 6th until Saturday, August 8th, and finally from Thursday, August 13th until Saturday, August 15th.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be opening our doors for such a special series of gigs with the DMA’S,” explained Sam Nardo of Sydney’s Factory Theatre.
“This is a one-off opportunity that will no doubt be relished by fans who have waited a long time to get out there to support Aussie music and it’s simply great to be a part of it.”
