After a year full of ups and downs, Sydney trio DMA’S have unveiled their first Australian headline tour in three years, announcing a run of shows in support of their latest album, The Glow.
Originally set to release The Glow back in April, the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic saw the record pushed back to July, where it peaked at #2 on the Australian charts upon its arrival, and managed to receive an ARIA nomination for Album of The Year.
While the group’s initial plans for 2020 were undoubtedly changed beyond what they could have anticipated, a lack of international touring gave rise to a number of different performances, including livestreams, an appearance on The Sound, a spot at the AFL Grand Final, and a run of acoustic shows in Sydney and Brisbane.
Now, with a sense of cautious normalcy gradually returning to the world, so too have DMA’S announced their return to the local live stage, unveiling their long-awaited album launch tour for The Glow.
Kicking off in September of 2021, DMA’S will appear in full-band mode, performing throughout Adelaide, Fremantle, Brisbane, and Melbourne, before wrapping things up with a hometown show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
Tickets to the band’s tour go on sale from 12pm local time on Tuesday, December 8th, while member pre-sales for both Frontier Touring and Secret Sounds begin at 12pm local time on Monday, December 7th, and run for 23 hours.
