Didirri Announces ‘It’s The Season’ Regional Victorian Tour

“It’s been hard to remember that this is what I’m good at, I’m a performer,” Didirri says, “It’s time to get back to it.”

With just under a month to go until Christmas arrives, Didirri has given his fans an early gift, announcing a run of seasonal shows to get them in the mood this festive season.

Announced today, the three regional shows will see Didirri performing in Castlemaine, Melbourne, and Warrnambool between December 13th and December 20th, allowing both performer and fans to come together following a year of isolation, hardship, and concern.

“These last six months have been some of the only times in my life where I have been alone,” Didirri explained. “Yes I’ve had people in my life but it was the first time that I have spent truly in my own company for years. I had to face, without distraction, all of my anxieties and worries for the world, in isolation. Yes again, I had communication over the Internet and in-person, but for the most part I was spending time on my own.

“I rediscovered what it is to be bored, and how happy boredom can make you. At some point during isolation I really found happiness in myself rather than from outside support.”

News of these shows comes after the release of his Sold for Sale EP back in September, and just weeks on from the release of his seasonal song, “It’s The Season”. Written as a way of dealing with the notion of spending time alone and away from family, it’s a track which will undoubtedly find a widespread audience this year.

“By the end of writing ‘It’s the Season’ I had accepted it,” Didirri adds. “I wanted it to feel unresolved until the very end. Ending joyfully if a little bit Christmassy.

“Honestly, it has all served to remind me how much I enjoy connecting with people through my music and I couldn’t be more excited to go back to my touring roots with a solo tour. I’m looking forward to sharing stories and songs from lockdown as well as hearing those audiences voices singing along.

“It’s been hard to remember that this is what I’m good at, I’m a performer. It’s time to get back to it.”
