Didirri takes us on a spiritual journey, delivering a trio of gorgeous tracks from his living room in lockdown for Rolling Stone's 'In My Room' series.

Melbourne singer-songwriter Didirri Peters has given our heartstrings a well-intentioned tug, performing a trio of stripped back gems for the latest edition of Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’, a series in which artists perform from home while in quarantine.

For a few years now, Didirri has been serving up some of the most majestic compositions ever found on the Australian music scene. Armed with an absolutely spell-binding voice and a skill for writing songs that would make even the finest poets green with envy, there’s no denying that when Didirri performs a song, it’s something truly special.

Recently announcing the release of his forthcoming EP Sold for Sale, Didirri invited us into his living room for the latest edition of Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’ series, kicking things off with a rendition of last year’s “Blue Mood Rising”.

“This one is about reaching out and recognising when you need help,” Didirri explained of the prescient lyrics to “Jude”. So shout out to Lifeline, and Beyond Blue, and all those organisations, and any of you artists in lockdown, you can always call Support Act.

“This one is also about a dog, and I know a lot of people have been buying dogs, getting puppies in lockdown,” he continued. “It’s about a dog named Jude. She’s a Border Collie, and she’s very, very into shadows.

Wrapping things up by sitting down at the piano, Didirri delved into a rendition of the recently-released “The Critic”.

“This last one is a toast to getting things absolutely wrong when you thought that you were getting them perfectly right,” he succinctly explained before baring his soul by way of his gorgeous music.

While his Sold for Sale EP is set to be released late next month, Didirri has also announced a virtual world tour in the lead up to the EP’s arrival, which offers specially-curated intimate concerts for fans throughout the UK, North America, Europe, and Canada. The events will culminate in a special release-day stream for Aussie fans, with Didirri hand-pressing vinyl and talking about the EP on September 25th.

The concerts are available on a “pay what you can” basis, and will be available to view for free for anyone who doesn’t have the means. Meanwhile, fans can also donate directly to the artist, band, and production crew if they have the capacity. Read on for more information about these upcoming events.
