The band will now play at MyState Arena in Hobart on November 17th, followed by three shows in at Kings Park & Botanic Garden in Perth from November 25th-27th.
The two A Day on the Green events have also been rescheduled, now set to take place in Bimbadgen, Hunter Valley on November 12th and Mt Duneed Estate, Geelong on November 19th. Angus & Julia Stone will provide support in Geelong and Boy & Bear will play Hunter Valley, with The Waifs appearing at both A Day on the Green dates.
Tickets will automatically remain valid for the corresponding A Day on the Green shows, with no action required by attendees. If a ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled dates, refunds will be available from point of purchase. There are also still tickets remaining for both A Day on the Green shows via Ticketmaster. AAMI customers can purchase tickets via AAMI Customer Rewards.
“We are very pleased to announce rescheduled shows in Australia for the ones we lost through Covid in April,” Crowded House shared. “We play in the beautiful Kings Park Perth, Geelong, Hobart and Hunter Valley and will be thrilled to see you good people who bought tickets the first time.
Should these new dates not be possible for some of you to attend we hope the process of refunds is straightforward and look forward to seeing you next time. The show must go on!”
Prior to the postponement, the Dreamers Are Waiting tour had received strong reviews. The Guardian hailed it as “a joyous and long-awaited return to Australia,” even noting that for some fans it felt like “a quasi-religious experience”; The Age, meanwhile, wrote that “Crowded House filled the (Sidney Myer) Bowl with love.”
