Update (8/12): Courtney Barnett has expanded her upcoming tour of Australia, adding in a new hometown show show at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre for March 18th, and a headline date at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre for March 25th.

As Courtney Barnett gears up to release her third solo album, Things Take Time, Take Time, this Friday, the critically-acclaimed Melbourne export has announced a run of local tour dates for March of 2022.
Her first Aussie trek since January of 2020, the tour is set to see Barnett performing at The Astor in Perth on March 10th, Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on March 17th, and The Tivoli in Brisbane on March 26th. A Sydney date is in the pipeline, with full details yet to be announced.
The tour is set to see Barnett performing cuts her new album, Things Take Time, Take Time, which officially releases this Friday as her first new record in over three years.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about the album, Barnett explains that the seeds for it were sewn amongst the minutiae of COVID lockdowns, with music providing her with something to work towards.
“On the one hand, nothing was happening to me last year,” she explains. “But at the same time, so much was happening! There’s that lyric in ‘Turning Green’ about flowers in the weeds — as in, finding beauty in a place where you least expect it. That’s my ongoing lesson for myself.”
Tickets to Courtney Barnett’s upcoming tour go on sale from 10am local time on Friday, November 12th, while a pre-sale runs 24 hours from 9am local time on Thursday, November 11th.
