Coldplay have extended their upcoming Australian visit to meet demand.

Thanks to a partnership between the Western Australian Government and Live Nation, the beloved British band announced that they’re heading to Perth as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour in November.

Due to huge demand during the pre-sale for the initial show on Saturday, November 18th, a second show has been added at Optus Stadium on Sunday, November 19th.

There will be no pre-sale or registration available for the newly announced show, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 16th at 10am local time.

Coldplay have also confirmed a limited number of Infinity Tickets – special tickets released by the band on their world tour to make it more affordable and accessible – will be available for the two Perth shows at a later date. They will cost just $40 AUD per ticket.

“It’s a huge deal for us and we’re massively looking forward to coming back to Western Australia. It’s been way too long,” Coldplay say about their upcoming Perth visit.

Coldplay will be ably supported by two of Australia’s most prominent singer-songwriters in Amy Shark and Thelma Plum. The former was recently unveiled as Rolling Stone AU/NZ‘s cover star for our March issue, discussing in detail her long journey to the pinnacle of Australian pop.

The upcoming Perth show will be Chris Martin and co.’s first performance in the country since 2016. They’re touring in support of their 2021 album Music of the Spheres, which topped the ARIA Albums Chart. Fans can expect to hear tracks from that album, as well as old classics like “Viva La Vida” and “Clocks”, at Optus Stadium.
