Chet Faker Performs New Single ‘Low’ on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

Returning to where he made his US television debut in 2015, Chet Faker shares a soulful, lonesome version of his latest single.

Chet Faker has made a triumphant return to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, performing his new single “Low” on the latest episode of the popular program.

Appearing as the musical guest alongside the likes of The Big Bang Theory actors Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, Chet Faker performs a soulful, lonesome version of the single in a large warehouse as he walks past colourful windows, adding a bit of brightness to the song’s lyrics of resilience.

Faker’s return to The Ellen DeGeneres Show is something of a fitting step in his career, given that it was where he made his US television debut back in 2015, and now serves as his first televised performance since the return of the Chet Faker name late last year.

Originally announcing the retirement of the moniker in 2016, the Melbourne artist revealed he would instead be reverting to his birth name of Nick Murphy going forward. While a number of releases have followed in the years since, October of 2020 brought with it the news that the Chet Faker name would be making a return, with new single “Low” following soon after.

Currently, no further singles from Chet Faker have arrived as yet, though more music is promised to arrive in the near future.
