Cat Power Announces ‘The Greatest’ Anniversary Australian Tour

Cat Power is coming to Australia.

The beloved US musician will play shows in Brisbane, Geelong, Adelaide, and more cities this November and December, alongside a performance at Live at the Gardens in Melbourne (see full dates below).

At the latter show, Power will be supported by two special guests: US singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews and Melbourne’s own Hedge Burners.

Recorded in Memphis with members of the legendary Hi Rhythm Section, The Greatest saw Power “step into the warm glow of Southern soul and make it entirely her own,” according to a press release.

The Greatest debuted in the top 40 on the Billboard 200 in 2006.

Rolling Stone named it as the 6th best album of that year, later naming it as the 26th best album of the entire 2000s.
