Celebrated singer-songwriter Ben Lee is back with a new single “Like This Or Like That”, the second track taken from his upcoming album I’M FUN!.

“Like This Or Like That” is a wistful, guitar-driven ode to life at a crossroads, about being a fan, identity, binary choices, The Beatles vs The Stones, and Nirvana vs Pearl Jam. The track sees Lee team up with Justin Stanley (Prince, Paul McCartney) on production and engineering.

“”Like This Or Like That” is about small choices but kinda life changing choices too,” Lee says about the track. “It may seem that digging the Stones more than the Beatles, or Nirvana more than Pearl Jam, doesn’t really matter. But these choices are about vibez, about values and about identity.

Being a fan is like a choose-your-own-adventure story. And what you resonate with, what you are a fan of, ends up taking you down a completely unique path, if you let it. And of course, in the larger cosmic scheme of things, it’s all totally irrelevant…but that’s all part of the fun!”

The track follows Lee’s triumphant return last year with the first single from I’M FUN!, “Born For This Bullshit”. The full album is set for release on Friday, August 19th 2022, and can be pre-ordered here.

I’M FUN! was made remotely after Lee’s initial plan to record with a live band became another victim of the COVID-19 pandemic. He assembled a stellar collection of producers for I’M FUN! though, including Jon Brion, Shamir, Christian Lee Hutson, and Georgia Maq.

Alongside the release of his new single, Lee has also announced his ‘Parents Get High’ Australian tour which will see him hit stages in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth this June (see full details below).
