Less than one month out, Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash 2026 has officially sold out.
Organisers revealed the news about Australia’s biggest Outback music festival today.
“It’s exciting to announce that we’re at capacity — with nearly 15,000 people set to rock the Outback this month. Thousands of these travellers are already hitting the road and going to join us for our new Lightfest event that will be staged on the streets of Broken Hill in the week leading into the Mundi Mundi Bash,” Greg Donovan, festival founder and Managing Director of the Outback Music Festival Group, shares.
The sold-out 2026 edition features a stacked lineup: The Teskey Brothers, John Butler, Boy & Bear, Jessica Mauboy, The Whitlams, Troy Cassar-Daley, Fanny Lumsden, Tim Finn, and many, many more will play the festival this year.

“We launched the Mundi Mundi Bash during very tough times for events. We survived the Covid years consistently selling out the event, and this year it’s been the fuel crisis and tough economic times that have impacted consumer spending. And yet here we are — announcing a sellout of our biggest event yet. We’re incredibly grateful for our audience who choose to spend their time and money with us, we’re going to repay that support with an incredible party in the desert later this month,” Donovan adds.
This year’s Mundi Mundi Bash features a new prelude event, titled Lightfest, which will be held on the streets of Broken Hill in the week before the main event.

Lightfest will run over three consecutive nights featuring a large-scale drone light show and street activations. It’s part of the Transport for NSW Open Streets Program: Foundation Events 2026-27, which brings streets across NSW to life. The Open Streets Program is part of the NSW Government’s Vibrant Streets Package.
A new Bash Choir — a new feel-good replacement for the Nutbush world-record attempt — will also be staged for the first time this year at Mundi Mundi Bash.
Taking place on Friday, August 21st, Bash Choir will see thousands of Bash-goers gather in the main concert area to learn the iconic “Simply The Best” – in a nod to the Nutbush/Tina Turner connections of previous years.
