“A lot of people have put everything they have into making this incredible night a celebration of the human stories and artistry Australian music has delivered over four massive decades, while finding a way to thrill us with what’s still around the corner. I’m proud to say this lineup achieves that in spades. Australian music is being heard all over the world.

“On Wednesday, 18 November the whole country gets to celebrate it together. We can’t wait to see everyone at the Hordern!”

The announcement comes shortly after this year’s nominees were revealed, with Genesis Owusu and Tame Impala leading the field on eight nominations apiece. Ecca Vandal follows with seven nominations, while Baker Boy, BOY SODA, G Flip, Miss Kaninna and Ninajirachi are each up for five awards. DMA’S, Dom Dolla and Troye Sivan have four nominations each.
