Created In Partnership With Mentos
Across genres, cities and scenes, a new era of artists is reshaping Australian and New Zealand music. From Western Sydney hip-hop to post-punk Canberrans, these up-and-coming artists deserve to be played on high rotation.
Introducing the Mentos Fresh Sounds Class of ’26, curated by Rolling Stone AU/NZ — a new annual platform celebrating the country’s most exciting emerging talent. Throughout the year, the Mentos Fresh Sounds Hub will be home to the inaugural class, where Rolling Stone AU/NZ will spotlight each artist through in-depth interviews, exclusive In My Room performances and behind-the-scenes storytelling, giving fans a closer look at the people and stories behind the music.
Selected by Rolling Stone AU/NZ’s editorial team, the eight artists represent the creativity, ambition and originality driving Australian and New Zealand music into its next era. Alongside editorial support and ongoing championing, the annual initiative will culminate in the inaugural Mentos Fresh Sounds Class of ’26 House Party, a Rolling Stone AU/NZ live showcase that brings the class together for a performance before fans, the industry, and the wider music community.
So, get your playlists ready and meet the inaugural Class of ‘26.
