The inaugural Mentos Fresh Sounds Class of ‘26 is a Rolling Stone AU/NZ-backed music launchpad created to support the next generation of talent. Here’s the low-down.
Eight emerging artists will be hand-picked by Rolling Stone AU/NZ editors via the Mentos Fresh Sounds Portal. If successful, you’ll take part in a year-long program aiming to spotlight the best in local music.
You’ll be supported closely by the culture creators at Rolling Stone AU/NZ and take part in performances that put you in front of live audiences. Documentary-style content will chart your career-changing journey on social media, and your first releases and music news will be shared across editorials and Rolling Stone AU/NZ-backed playlists. Editorial check-ins throughout the year will also help to keep your momentum strong.

Alongside editorial exposure and support, the eight winners will take part in the Mentos Fresh Sounds Class of ’26 House Party — a Rolling Stone AU/NZ-curated live event where you can perform in front of fans, the media and the music industry. The Mentos Fresh Sounds Class is where future headliners are introduced, championed and cemented into the culture.
