Hosted on Rolling Stone AU/NZ for the second time, INTROS is back to introduce you to the best rising stars in New Zealand music.

Georgia Lines’ popular music web series sees the Kiwi pop singer-songwriter sitting down with her favourite female and non-binary artists for a relaxed kōrero. Each episode focuses on the artist’s chosen song, delving into the story behind the song and the process of writing, before the artist treats viewers to a live performance.

Next up in season four is rising star Tusekah, whose stylish songs meet at the crossroads of R&B and neo-soul.

After impressing with her debut single, ‘Childhood Friends”, in 2021, Tusekah dropped three more well-received singles, “I Ain’t Waiting Around”, “I’ve Changed”, and “Baby’s Breath”, between 2022 and 2024, with more set to follow later this year.

Tusekah has also been quickly making a name for herself on the live circuit, opening for our Future of Music 2025 artist JessB as well as international artists like Olivia Dean.

Local radio stations including Mai FM and The Edge have been all over Tusekah’s songs, but the fact that she’s also received international support from BBC Radio 1 and triple j shows that her career is heading in an exciting direction.

In episode six of the new season of INTROS, which you can watch above, Lines and Tusekah explore life and music in a thoughtful conversation.  The latter also performs a stunning song for the host and her viewers.

Lines released her debut album, The Rose of Jericho, to wide acclaim last year. Rolling Stone AU/NZ gave it a four-star review, and The Rose of Jericho featured prominently in our 50 Best New Zealand Albums of 2024 list. Lines is nominated multiple times at the 2025 Aotearoa Music Awards.
