It’s about to be a defining month for Belle Haven.
Instead of dropping a full album or EP, the Melbourne emo rock outfit have decided to release a vinyl record spanning their entire 2023 collection.
Thanks to a partnership with Anti Vinyl Vinyl Club, each searing song Belle Haven have released this year – “I Can’t Find the Words”, “Grimace”, and “Hard Stare, Soft Touch”, as well as a live piano version of “I Can’t Find the Words” – will come together as a 7″ vinyl, I’m Not Dead Yet, which will be released on Friday, November 17th.
According to Belle Haven, “these songs represent our new beginning, and serve as a preface to our future as a band.”
“I’m Not Dead Yet represents new beginnings for us. It’s proof that it’s never too late to be the person (or band) you want to be. That real change takes hard work and determination, but it’s worth it. These songs were worth it. This collection of music is a preface to the book that is Belle Haven’s future,” explains vocalist David De La Hoz.
Belle Haven performed a song from their upcoming vinyl collection in their ‘In My Room’ session for Rolling Stone AU/NZ. They played “Hard Stare, Soft Touch” between their 2019 single “Forget Me” and a surprise cover of Lana Del Rey‘s “Summertime Sadness”.
In other Belle Haven news, the band are seeing in the New Year by supporting Sydney rockers RedHook at New Years Emo in Melbourne, They’ll also perform at What About Adelaide?, a mini fest featuring the band alongside the likes of Forever Ends Here, Those Who Dream, and Chelsea Manor on Saturday, December 16th.
You can watch Belle Haven’s full ‘In My Room’ session above. I’m Not Dead Yet is out Friday, November 17th via Anti Vinyl Vinyl Club (pre-order here).
