VASSY has celebrated a major career milestone, returning to Tomorrowland Belgium a decade after first appearing at the festival alongside Tiësto.
The Darwin-raised, US-based singer-songwriter performed her own set at the sold-out electronic music festival over the weekend, where she premiered “Day N Night”, her new collaboration with fellow Australian artist Bust-R.
The appearance came 10 years after VASSY joined Tiësto on the Tomorrowland stage, marking a full-circle moment in a year that has also seen the artist become a mother.
“This year has been one of the biggest chapters in my life,” VASSY told Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “Becoming a mum while continuing to pursue my passion for music has made every milestone even more meaningful.
“I first stepped onto the Tomorrowland stage performing alongside Tiësto, so to return and perform my own set while premiering ‘Day N Night’ with my fellow Aussie Bust-R on one of the world’s most iconic stages, surrounded by fans from every corner of the globe, was a surreal, full-circle moment.
“It’s a reminder that dreams don’t have an expiration date — they just evolve.”

Released ahead of the festival appearance, “Day N Night” pairs contemporary dance production with a throwback house influence. The single also represents a new phase in VASSY’s career, both personally and creatively.
Speaking to Billboard ahead of the performance, VASSY said Tomorrowland remained particularly significant because of the scale and impact of her performance with Tiësto. Returning as a new mother to introduce the first single from her next chapter, she said, made the occasion especially meaningful.

Her collaboration with Bust-R extends beyond the studio and stage. The pair also host a radio show dedicated to championing Australian dance music and its artists, with the Tomorrowland set giving them the opportunity to bring that shared mission to an international audience.
“Day N Night” follows a run of releases from VASSY this year, including “On Me” with Australian producer Mind Electric, which reached the ARIA Club Char top 10. Other recent releases include “Pretty Lady”, “Quiet Storms” and “Star”.
